Cromford Road Car Park

Before I get onto my next proper grumpy whinge, I just thought I'd mention that it looks like Cromford Road car park is for sale. Or something? ...

  1. How would you feel about one of these from you secret admirers?http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/news/article-2095395/Asda-7p-recession-beating-Valentine-s-card.html
    OMG!
Still, I'm told it's the thought that counts. :)

    1. Where do all these blank spaces come from? -
      "from your secret admirers."
      That's better. :)

    2. As long as it came stuffed with vouchers for posh shops [not Asda], I'd be quite happy. If it was empty, there would be 'hell to pay'.

I am not a 'thought that counts' kind of lady :-)

  2. Cromford Road (Private) Car Park

I think this sign is just a polite warning to ALL the motorists who now seem to use this as their own personal car park, that the days of parking free of charge are numbered, this is now private property again and these motorists could find themselves clamped if the correct signage is displayed on the site in the near future !

    1. Thanks for clearing that up, we noticed that the council signs had gone a while ago so knew ownership had changed. Hmm, I think there's enough of us grumpies around to keep tabs on it and write about what develops ;-)

    2. I see not many local motorists are prepared to pay the new charges on the former AVBC car park (free). We now get idiots parking anywhere they like on the road and side streets causing a hazard to other drivers !

    3. Keep your eye on the car park on Saturday 1st December 2012 for new developments ! ! !

  3. The Cromford Road car park is again under the control of AVBC, after making the choice to return it to a FREE short stay car park. A nominal rent is to be paid to the new landlord.

Please be aware that it is free for ONLY a 3 hour maximum stay, so Council enforcement officers may be keeping a lookout when it reopens for those wanting to stay for much longer periods, thinking they are able to park all day as they did before.

    1. I don't know what you're on about. We were merely warning people not to fall foul of the new/old parking charges.

As English clearly isn't your first language, I'll forgive you misunderstanding what the post is about.
